The Lillian Welch client appreciates beauty and quality. She is seeking the perfect gift and wants to find something special not easily found. She brings friends and visiting relatives in to share her special place. She trusts that all products in the shop are of utmost quality, and that guidance is offered with only her very best interest in mind.
The connection to this shop transcends product, place, and time...relationships are the heart of this business. In the words of the inimitable Kathleen Kelly, “whatever else anything is, it ought to begin by being personal.” Lillian Welch is personal, and it’s business–and that is my dream come true! I am delighted to share my dream with you.

Meet Lillian Welch

Lillian Welch is named for my maternal great-grandmother, Lillian Louise Knight Welch. She was born in 1904, and raised deep in the heart of Texas Hill country.
Lillian married William Harry Welch in 1925, and they settled on a ranch outside Goldthwaite, Texas, raising four children. I have precious memories of them both. My lovely grandmother was their third child and only daughter. Great-Grandpa Harry lived to age 93, and Great-Grandmother lived to age 98. With a name so lovely as Lillian Welch, how could I not use it?!
This shop is a tribute to their lives and the incredible legacy of love, integrity, and a natural, easy elegance that was their hallmark.
